| Academically Sportswise and others thanks. Brisbane, I mean in Brisbane city. It doesn't matter as long as it is still within the Brisbane City Council. Gold Coast wouldn't apply as it is not in Brisbane. Thanks. |

| Depends if you are talking state or private. I assume you are looking for your child? There are many good state schools in Brisbane, and without more information about your region I can not add more information. If you are after information - go to the QLD Govt web site and look for Eduction - find schools section and look at the web sites of each school for more information on their values etc to see what meets your child's needs. I have added the link below. I teach in a state school on the Gold Coast and love it and we have wonderful students and staff. As for private schools, again without the region it is hard. I have heard good things about Boys Grammar but you pay for the reputation and they have waiting lists etc. You can get tables showing past results for schools from the Courier Mail - they publish them each year but be warned private schools select the students they have so results are biased and it does not tell you about the other less tangible but equally important advantages of the school (such as activities offered, ability to help you child meet their potential and the variety of options they offer - such as Certificate courses or OP subjects). I would suggest that you start visiting schools and see if they have what your child and you want and if you feel good after meeting the admin of the school. Good Luck choosing a school. |
