How much cologne do you recommend I put on? And which one is the best smelling?

I use Hollister's cologne or Eternity for Men by Calvin Klein.
And I usually put on two sprays.

Is it recommended I put on more cologne at a crowded frat party?
or when i enter a smelly area such as the subway?
