| I am traveling to Mexico in a week. I applied for my passport about 3 weeks ago, and still havent gotten it. My plane to Guadalajara, MX leaves out of the TJ airport and I was wondering since the requirements to cross the border to TJ dont change until June 1. Would I still be able to go on the plane? I have my ID and birth certificate to cross over so will not having my passport for an in country flight matter?? |

| If you are an American Citizen you need your passport to leave and enter the country, this is if you fly only. To go and come back by land you can use the Birth Certificate and ID, like you said until June 1. The airlines need to enter the passport information on the sistem, they won't let you fly without a passport |
