| So I was in Russia and I ordered some local brand. It was less expensive, and I must admit it was very good. Nearly got some airline fuel qualities. At any rate, the people I was with was getting Absolut. Seems they were afraid they would go blind if they drank the Russian brand. Isn't going to Russia without drinking Russian vodka like going to France and order Californian wine? I absolutely agree. However, this was in a large bar. It was not in a small alleyway bottled on coke bottles. It seemed that a lot of people were drinking it, and it was a reputable Russian brand (however, the name eludes me). moscovitter555, Absolut is a Swedish brand. It is fairly hyped. A rather sub-mediocre vodka with a great marketing campaign. Stolichnoya is great! And Moscovitska was the brand I bought in Russia! Thanks for making me remember. Yes, it might be targeted for the low level consumers, but it was great. |
